承运人在托运人指定的地点接货，运抵收货人指定地点的一种运输服务方式。

直达运输 through transportation
物品由发运地到接收地，中途不需要中转的运输。

物品由发运地到接收地，中途经过至少一次落地并换装的运输。

甩挂运输 drop and pull transport
用牵引车拖带挂车至目的地，将挂车甩下后，牵引另一挂车继续作业的运输。
